Rusmar AC-645 Long Duration Foam, 15 Hour

Rusmar AC-645 is a patented long duration foam which produces a thick, viscous barrier for immediate control of dust, odors, birds, scavengers, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).  AC-645 is designed for use with Rusmar Pneumatic Foam Units.  


AC-645 foam is recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers for providing superior emission control for up to 17 hours.  AC-645 has been specified for use at Superfund sites throughout the United States and Canada.

Applications: 


The primary application for AC-645 is control of odors, VOCs, dust, vectors, and scavengers during active excavation and for overnight coverage of contaminated soils at hazardous job sites.  AC-645 is also a well suited, economical solution for covering biosolids, garbage, waste, and sludge piles, and trailers for overnight storage and/or transport.  AC-645 can also be applied to the top of liquid surfaces such as tanks, pits, lagoons, and spills.  


Special Odor Control Problems:


The remediation of hazardous waste sites often includes excavation of soil contaminated with odorous compounds.  AC-645 has little or no odor, although a pleasant wintergreen or vanilla scent can be added by making the selection in the drop down menu.  AC-645 forms a barrier between the atmosphere and contaminants.  This product is applied during excavation to provide an immediate and effective barrier to minimize odors.  The foam is completely biodegradable and forms no threat to workers, neighboring residents, or the environment.  AC-645 will not add to soil volume or air space.  


AC-645 can be applied to the tops of trucks for emission and odor control during storage and transport.  Ideal applications include garbage trucks, recycling trucks, sewage sludge trailers, biosolids trailers, and hauling contaminated or hazardous wastes.  For sewage sludge, ammonia tests resulted in a drop of concentration from 170 p.p.m. to 6 p.p.m. after coverage with AC-645.  


Fugitive Dust:


At hazardous waste sites, fugitive dusts can present a health hazard.  AC-645 can be applied to dusty material to prevent any wind borne emissions.  There is no need to cover with tarps or soil.  Rusmar Pneumatic Foam Units can be deployed anywhere at a moment's notice to control air borne dusts.


Emergency Spill Clean Up:


In emergency pills, odor and VOC control is often difficult because of the terrain and accident conditions.  AC-645 foam adheres to any shaped object such as vertical slopes, water, mud, snow, and ice.  Because AC-645 is non-reactive and non-flammable, this foam is ideal for hazardous spills.


Method of Application:


AC-645 is supplied in either 450 lb. (55 gallon) drums or via bulk load (approximately 46,000 pounds).  Bulk shipments can be stored outside in a Rusmar Bulk Dilution-Storage System.  The Bulk Storage and Dilution System is comprised of a 7,000 gallon heated and mixed chemical tank equipped with a microprocessor for diluting and dispensing the chemical.


AC-645 is designed to be applied with a Rusmar Pneumatic Foam Unit.  These units are available in variety of sizes and configurations to suit your application needs.


    

72 Hour Foam/Alternate Daily Cover

Alternate Daily Cover (ADC), Soil Equivalent, 72 Hour Foam

Rusmar AC-667SE Soil Equivalent Foam is a patented product, which produce a thick, viscous, long-lasting foam barrier for immediate control of foul odors, blowing litter, disease vectors, dust, birds, and scavengers when applied to landfills as a daily cover material.  AC-667SE is also well suited for biosolids trailers, waste transfer trucks, animal by-products trailers, etc.  AC-667SE provides emission control at remediation sites where dust, odors, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are present.  This special foam maintains its integrity, even in moderate rainfall, for up to 72 hours.  AC-667SE is a patented product which contains keratin (a protein recycled from animal by-products) with iron salts and other key ingredients.  AC-667SE controls ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, VOCs, and other odors.


AC-667SE is designed for up to 72 hour coverage.  Concentrate is packaged in 450 lb. drums for $382.50 each.  Dilution ratio is 6.5:1 for daily coverage at 3" depth and 4:1 for 72 hour coverage at 6"-7" depth.  Each 450 lb. drum will cover approximately 4,500 square feet.  Cinnamon scent is included and standard with each order.

Rusmar AC-920 Latex, Long Lasting Foam

The RusFoam® LM AC-920 Long Duration Foam produces an impermeable, flexible membrane that seals a surface to prevent release of emissions.  RusFoam® LM utilizes foam as a distribution method for latex.  After the foam is applied, the air bubbles begin to collapse, and the latex cures to form a continuous, flexible membrane that adheres to the substrate for long term control of dust, odors, volatile organic compounds (VOC), birds, and vectors.  The Rusmar LM AC-920 foam is designed for use in all Rusmar foam equipment. For job sites requiring special colored demarcations or coding, Rusmar LM AC-920 is available in black, red, brown, yellow, and green.  Wintergreen or Vanilla scents can be added by making the selection in the drop-down menu.

At hazardous and other job sites, fugitive dust can present a health hazard.  When applied to dusty material, RusFoam® LM controls wind borne emissions.  The immediate foam application provides instant control, while the latex membrane provides long term coverage.


Controls Erosion:


Graded areas covered in RusFoam® LM reduce erosion damage caused by rain, melting snow, ice, wind, gaps, and leaks.  Sand and other high percolation soils do not effectively repel water.  Covering such substrates, especially slopes, will dramatically reduce soil permeability.  


Packaging Options:


RusFoam® LM is supplied in either 450 pound (200L) drums or in bulk.  Bulk shipments can be stored outside in a Rusmar Bulk Storage System.  The Bulk Storage System is comprised of a 7,000 gallon (26,500L) heated and stored chemical storage tank with a microprocessor to accurately transfer the chemical.

Rusmar Pneumatic Foam Machine

The Patented Rusmar Pneumatic Foam Unit is the most compact and portable foam generating system designed for small remediation job sites, waste transfer stations, animal by-products facilities, rendering operations, wastewater treatment facilities, biosolids facilities, sludge drying beds, landfills, composting facilities, etc.  The NTC/8 can be mounted on the tongue of most standard air compressors.  The Rusmar Foam can be drum or auxiliary tank fed.
