Circular Stand-Alone Biofilter

The Bioteg Circular Stand-Alone Biofilter with its compact design and long service life can be employed to solve a variety of different odor problems. Among our customers for the SRBF-Series are waste water treatment plants (WWTP), landfills, and sewage storage systems as well as the food and chemical industry. Stand-Alone systems are designed to treat airstreams from 20 to 500 m3/h. To adapt to higher airstreams (of up to 2,000 m3/h), our Circular Stand-Alone Biofilters can be designed in a two to four filter network.


These filters are  typically used as inexpensive passive biofilters, yet they are readily upgradable to active biofilters at any time by the addition of a cover and a fan. A controlled surface irrigation system is optional.


Depending on the environmental conditions, the biofilter material may last up to 7 years. The replacement of the filter material is an easy and inexpensive process. The spent biofilter material can be readily composted.

 



Modular Container Biofilter

Our Modular Container Biofilter Systems consist of one to four double walled filter containers to treat airflow rates in a range of 300 m3/h to 20.000 m3/h. The outer wall is made of steel with a treated and painted outer surface. The inner surfaces are coated with 4 mm heavy-duty polyethylene. For higher air flow rates, we offer special tanks as biofilter containers. The vessels of the series MCBF are of a rugged design and for an automatic operation mainly free of maintenance.


Typical applications: waste water treatment plants (WWTP), landfills, composting facilities, food industry, chemical industry etc.


Figure: MCBF-1000: suitable for 1000m3/h waste air and two stage operation. MCBF plants are delivered ready to use (turn-key) to the customer and are tested 24h non-stop prior to shipment. This guarantees a proper function.

Drop-In Biofilter

The biofilters of the series EBF have been specially designed and optimized for a use in waste water treatment plants and sewerage systems. The Drop-In Biofilter is mainly used as an inexpensive passive biofilter (displacing method), and is readily upgradable to an active biofilter at any time by the addition of a ventilator. A controlled surface irrigation system is optional.


A prerequisite for installation is a supporting ring in the cover, with diameter D1 and capable of supporting the given weight. Depending on the environmental conditions, the biofilter material is an easy and inexpensive process. The spent biofilter material can then be readily composted.

Manhole Biofilter

Manhole biofilters are used more and more for elimination of odors from sewerage systems. The odorous compounds were eliminated by microorganism before they could get into the atmosphere. So the manhole biofilter of the series MBF is the perfect solution for eliminating odors around any manhole.


The biofilter material which is natural torn root wood is going to be optimized by a special bioteg pre-conditioning. Root wood is very stable and does not change its physical and microbiological properties within short time. There is more or less no compaction of the filter material which results in the long-time-stability of 4 til 7 years. The used materials which come into contact with the waste air (EPDM, PE or stainless steel 1.4571) have a high persistance against aggressive media.

Force Main Biofilter

The biofilters of the series DEBF have been specially designed to reduce sewage odors emitting from force main air release valves. The filter is mounted above or below the ground to the connecting piece of a force main ventilation pipe. They can be run as inexpensive passive biofilters with a vent stack or can be equipped with a ventilator. The Bioteg Force Main Biofilters can be networked to adapt to greater airflow rates.


Depending on the evnvironmental conditions the biofilter material may last up to 7 years. The replacement of the filter material is an easy and inexpensive process. The spent biofilter material can then be readily composted.

Vent Pipe Biofilters

The Vent Pipe Biofilters have been specially designed to reduce odors from various vent pipes as for example from pump stations. They should be used for small airflow rates where space or costs do not allow the use of a Stand-Alone Biofilter.


The Vent Pipe Biofilters come in a standard range of sizes, fitting various ventilation pipes, and are simply inserted into the vent pipe.


Depending on the environmental conditions, the biofilter material may last up to 7 years. The replacement of the filter material is an easy and inexpensive process. The spent biofilter material can be readily composted.
