Odor Control Valves

1200 Odor Control Roof Vent

image28

Wager’s 1200 Odor Control Roof Vent is designed for rooftop ventilation as a means to equalize the pressure required to keep steady flows of wastewater in toilets and sinks. Odor may become a problem when the resulting H2S gas from a septic system flows to ground levels by means of wind currents or temperature inversions.

Our 1200 model is molded from UV resistant reinforced nylon for protection from harsh environments. A slip-on sleeve allows for easy installation. Vent holes inside the unit provide a 1:1 open area of airflow. Cover vent holes are designed to restrict insects from nesting in the unit.

Each unit contains a canister with 5 lbs. of our odor scrubbing media. A groove lock top makes canister replacement quick and easy. Media and canisters are all non-toxic and landfill disposable.

1800 Odor Control Vent Valve

image29

The 1800 Odor Control Vent Valve connects to a candy cane style pipe, and is designed to allow for ventilation in the open position. The valve body may be easily disassembled with two quick release lockable metal latches. The interior of the body contains a canister filled with odor media. This media is in pellet form allowing for better airflow thru the media bed, and is highly effective in removing hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) found in wastewater treatment applications. Pellets are non-toxic and landfill disposable. The media contains blue indicator pellets that turn white when the media is spent. A complementary lab analysis is also offered to determine the remaining life of the media. This is especially helpful in creating an effective preventative maintenance program for odor control.

The 1800 is cast in 356-T6 aluminum with an epoxy powder coated finish. It is available in both standard 4” or 6” (100mm or 150mm) with a option of a metric flanged end connection.

A vertically mounted 1800, with rainshield is also available to protect the media from water damage in any rain event.

Do you need piping for your valve purchases ? Wager has a broad inventory of industrial pipe fittings for both marine and wastewater industries. Fittings include butt weld, threaded and flanged. Materials are hot dip galvanized steel, aluminum or 304-316 stainless steel.

This animation illustrates how the H2S gas (green arrows) gets scrubbed thru the media canister in the open position, resulting in de-odorized air (blue arrows).

When there is a flood situation, the ball float will rise and check preventing the media canister from being submerged in water. Once the flood waters recede, the 1850 once again allows for ventilation and the elimination of H2S gas odors.

3100-V Vacuum Air Release Odor Control Valve

image31

The 3100-V is designed for combination Vacuum Air Release Valves. The unit connects directly to an air release valve for odor control, with the added benefit of preventing corrosion in the manhole or vault from the H2S gas. Two air intake valves allow for up to 400 CFM of fresh air to intake directly into the lines without any restrictions from the media bed. This assures continued airflow during pumping sequences.

The 3100-V is constructed from aluminum, and is epoxy coated for protection from harsh environments. A canister containing 30 pounds of odor controlling media is located in the interior of the unit. The media is an engineered in pellet form to allow for optimum air flow thru the media bed. It then uses a chemical absorptive process changing the H2S gas into a non-toxic compound before exiting in to the atmosphere. The media is UL rated, and landfill disposable.

3100-WSV Water Separator Valve

image32

The water separator directly connects to both the air release valve and to the 3100 odor control valve. Air enters the water separator and a baffle directs the airflow to the bottom of the unit where moisture in the air can accumulate. Once the accumulating water reaches the level of a float in the unit, a drain will open and release the water into the wet well. The dry air proceeds to the top of the water separator, and enters in to the 3100 where the H2S gas is scrubbed with 30 pounds of odor controlling media.

The 3100-WSV is made from aluminum, and is epoxy coated for protection from the harsh environment. The media used to scrub the H2S gas is engineered in pellet form to allow for optimum air flow thru the media bed. A chemical absorptive process changes the H2S gas into a non-toxic compound before exiting into the atmosphere. The media is UL rated, and landfill disposable.

Color Change Indicating Media Pellets

image39

A highly effective media for removing hydrogen sulfide gas (H2S) found in wastewater treatement applications. Porous pellets containing powdered activated carbon, alumina and other binders, impregnated with chemicals to enhance the capacity for removal of hydrogen sulfide. The gases are removed by a means of adsorption, absorption and chemical reaction. The gases are trapped within the pellets, where a chemical reaction changes the gases into a harmless compound, eliminating the possibility of desorption.

The pellets are non-toxic and landfill disposable. Pellets are blue in color, and turn white when the media is spent. A complimentary lab analysis is also offered to determine the remaining life of the media. This is especially helpful in creating an effective PM program for odor control.

This odor media is ideal for use in environments requiring control of hydrogen sulfide gas, such as wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, wet wells, lift stations, and sludge holding tanks. It shall perform effectively under the following conditions and guidelines.
